The original UEFA Euro 2020 was unfortunately canceled due to the surging epidemic of Covid-19. However they made it happaned this year !

UEFA Euro 2020

The UEFA Euro 2020 or just Euro 2020 was originally scheduled from 12 June to 12 July 2020 in 11 cities in UEFA countries. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament is postponed and rescheduled for 11th June 2021 to 11th July 2021. Now, we are halfway through the event. What comes next is an anxious experience for the Finale. The whole netizens and spectators will witness 24 European teams striking against each team to win the coveted title. It is indeed the Championship Title of Euro 2020, a fair and invincible title. Fortunately, on the 11th of July at London’s significant Wembley Stadium, the world will witness the capping of the champions of Euro 2020.

Well, this epic event occurs every four years, so international fans might find it pining. Some might considerably scribble it to their bucket list. Hence, will the international fans observe these hot battles setting across the vast stadium in Europe? Can they travel for the event? Find out more below.

Opening Ceremony and Hosting Countries

Most of us have seen on-screen the intensifying Euro 2020 opening ceremony at Olimpico Stadium in Rome. Great artists of all times centered the stage and gave a sensational performance. Hence, It was a perfect worldwide recreation that brought the entire world together digitally. On the other hand, die Heart football fans were extremely thrilled when the opening was kicked off with the first match. The first match being played between Italy and Turkey, the rest of the world was left astounded.

11 megacities in Europe host the UEFA Euro 2021. These cities include Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Baku, Budapest, Saint Petersburg, Seville, Glasgow, and Rome.

When is the Euro 2020 Finale?

The onset of Euro 2020’s finale is just a few days ahead. Dozens of epic matches have been played between each European Country. After a few days, fans will start preparing for the phenomenal battle between the two teams duking for the championship. For now, players, countries, and fans altogether are beginning to be anxious for the knock-off of Round 16. Eight lucky European Countries will be selected for the quarter-finals and on and on. Sooner there will be massive betting between fans in support of their favorite teams. All these escalated excitement for the one final day saved for the 11th July 2021 in London’s Wembley Stadium.

Spectators in the Stadium

With a few days on the move for the vehement matches, fans can still make it for the event in the venues. However, with the suspicion of the ongoing pandemic, a full house is not a full stadium for Euro 2020 this year. 11 host countries make an exception for some fans to support the matches in the stadiums. Consequently, they must allow fans with strict adherence to Covid-19 Safety protocols.

St. Petersburg, Budapest, and Baku accept a capacity of almost between 50% to 100% of spectators. Puskas Arena in Budapest possibly wants 68,000 fans, which means almost the full capacity of the stadium. Baku and St. Petersburg expect a half-full capacity in their stadiums which means 30,000 to 35,000 spectators.

The rest of the host cities consider accepting only 25% capacity or possibly up to 45% of fans in the stadiums. Munich allows the lowest capacity of 22% per match in the stadium.

Wembley Stadium in London, hosting most of the matches, allows 25% capacity of cheering fans. Hopefully, the semi-finals and finals will take place here. When the time comes, that number will expectantly increase since players need massive supporters. To state the fact, a tournament, especially a football without cheering fans is not the same.

International Spectators

The Hosting cities are optimistic about letting international fans attend the matches with safety as their first three priority. Albeit the crucial situation, stadiums like in Bucharest, St. Petersburg, Baku, and Budapest open up to fans to attend the tournaments. They did not stop them from entry, or quarantines if they have taken proper precautions.

On the other hand, foreign travelers expecting to travel to the UK or within some of the EU countries are still closed. EU third countries and UK green list countries travelers have made an exception. However, foreign travelers are fortunate if they have taken the approved vaccinations. So far, four vaccines have been approved which are:

  • Comirnaty (BioNTech, Pfizer),
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna
  • Vaxzevria (previously COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)

There is indeed a perk for international fans to arrive at the UEFA Euro 2020 venues if they have primarily taken the above vaccines.

To come for the remaining matches from Round 16 to Finals, there might be no exemptions for ticket holders. Consecutively, Ticket Holders may extend their exemptions to negative Covid Test status and requirements, their stay limitations, even quarantine if need be, and so on. Prep Lines

We ought not to forget the other side of the world! While Euro 2020 is on set, COPA America is simultaneously on the move. Teams are as well duking for the finals and apparently hold the championship titles. Sadly, fans are restricted from entering the stadiums where the matches are played. Therefore, devoted fans have no choice but to snug inside their homes and watch on TVs. Out there Messi or Neymar fans are hoping, wishing, and supporting them from their homes. At the same time, sensational players such as Greizmaan, Ronaldo, or Tony Kross fans are supporting wildly in Euro 2020.
